WP-LITE
PURPOSE: to make the Video Display Editor look and feel more like
Word Perfect.
CONTENTS: WP.BAT : start up file which loads VDE along with your
document in /P mode.
WP.HLP : Text file used by WPHLP.EXE
WPHLP.EXE : program run by VDE which shows four help
screens similar to those in WP 4.2.
WP.VDF : function key definition file. Based on the
original WP.VDF by Eric Meyer.
HOW TO: To use WP-LITE, put the above files in a working
directory on your disk. VDE (ver 1.54 or better) may be
anywhere on the PATH in you computer.
At the DOS command prompt, type WP filename.ext and press
Enter.
When editing, press the F3 key and you will get the first
of four help screens that will give you help in learning
the key board for WP-LITE.
Note that some of the function keys have definitions that
do not conform to the WP standard. This is because,
there is no corresponding function in VDE.
